Resumen
La relación entre el agroturismo (AG) y la producción apícola (AP) es una vía importante para el desarrollo sostenible (SD). Sin embargo, algunos empresarios del sector apícola no comprenden completamente la integración de estos sectores y su contribución a las dimensiones económica, ambiental y sociocultural. Desde esta perspectiva este estudio tuvo por propósito realizar una revisión sistemática de la literatura investigativa para esclarecer esta relación y su vinculación con el desarrollo sostenible. Se empleó una metodología mixta, estableciendo un modelo relacional entre los conceptos, y un enfoque descriptivo para detallar aspectos del objeto de estudio mediante un diseño de revisión documental. Los resultados evidenciaron que muchos empresarios del sector apícola no aprovechan el potencial de la producción apícola para desarrollar el agroturismo como emprendimiento, limitando mejoras económicas a nivel individual y regional. Rn este sentido se concluye que los tomadores de decisiones deben establecer directrices para promover la interacción entre el agroturismo y la producción apícola y fortalecer el desarrollo sostenible. Así, se podrán implementar acciones prácticas que beneficien ambos sectores y el progreso de las regiones en las cuales se desarrolle la actividad apícola.
