Abstract
This study addresses the integration of Information and Communication Technologies and the educational strategies that are applied in the context of basic education in Ecuador. The current challenges facing the Ecuadorian educational system are analyzed and possible solutions for improvement are proposed. Through a theoretical and empirical approach, it seeks to provide a deeper understanding of the factors that influence the effective implementation of ICT in Ecuadorian classrooms and its impact on the teaching-learning process. A mixed methodology was used that included bibliographic review, research design and data collection through questionnaires designed in Google Forms. The results highlight the importance of effective integration of ICT in teaching and learning, as well as the obstacles that educators face in this process.
