Abstract

The virulent burden of the invisible enemy COVID 19 has not been able to be fully subdued, rather it continues to generate confusion in world society, for which businesses have faced the dilemma of staying operational. In response to this, this writing focuses on describing the operational management in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic disruptive event of the national and imported hardware, construction and household product marketers in the city of Sincelejo. Methodologically, it is a descriptive study under a qualitative approach, with a non-experimental field design referenced in case studies, where primary information was collected from the application of a questionnaire of open questions to key informant subjects and direct observation through from a checklist or verification to documents issued by the accounting system together with their attached notes for the years 2019 and 2020 of the companies observed. It was found that the companies under study have managed operationally based on their own resources available, government aid and subsidies from the Colombian state, also with the full use of electronic channels to market and negotiate effective negotiations. In this way, new fields and business possibilities have been opened for these companies with a recognized trajectory on the Colombian Caribbean coast and with a presence in the city of Sincelejo, by making themselves digitally visible and commercializing electronically, which has been satisfactory at this time. of surprising and constant disruption, as their sales recovery was appreciated not only through the counter but also through digital channels, as an experiment that worked to their satisfaction. In this regard, it is recommended to maintain its operational management assisted with digital media together with the use of its own and external resources through the government in a responsible manner in the exercise of its activities.
