Covi-19 from carchi entrepreneur perspective

Abstract

The objective of this based on crisis management was characterize entrepreneurs from Carchi and their perceptions regarding the impact of Covid-19 on their businesses, for which a questionnaire was designed to identify the attitude towards the Covid-19 crisis as a measure of resilience. The methodology was an exploratory and descriptive study, the sample consisted of 219 entrepreneurs with open businesses and in operations during the period december 2020 - january 2021, which corresponds to the last update of the patent registry in Carchi. The main findings indicate that most entrepreneurs from Carchi have a negative attitude towards the Covid-19 crisis, and the main economic sectors in which the entrepreneur perceives the crisis as an opportunity are construction, information and communication, and transportation and storage.
