Relationship between resources and innovation processes in manufacturing msmes in the city of Pasto Colombia

Manufacturing MSMEs are an important line of the economy because they constitute a permanent source of employment. This research aims to understand the relationship between human, technical and financial resources that an organization has and the development of innovation processes. To this end, during 2020, managers of 306 business units located in the city of Pasto were surveyed, applying a questionnaire made up of 17 variables, finding that, although there were no specialized innovation areas, qualified personnel or large budgets, they have been working on product innovation projects taking advantage of the available infrastructure. The support of the State and the Academy is required for these companies to take a quality leap in their production processes and improve their marketing methods.
