Impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the macro level of competitiveness in Colombia
Abstract
The objective of the article is to determine the impact of the COVID 19 pandemic on Colombian macroeconomic policy, considering variables of the systemic competitiveness model and its influence on business competitiveness. The research is descriptive, cross-sectional, based on secondary information. The findings reiterate the hypothesis that expectations of macroeconomic dynamism and public policy credibility directly or indirectly shape business decision-making and the competitive development of firms. Reflections are presented on the implications of the economic landscape of state over-indebtedness and social instability for investment, production, employment, and business competitiveness.
