Conceptual approach for the structuring of an agricultural projet management model: identification of variables
The purpose of the research is to identify the variables that are part of an agricultural project management model in order to strengthen economic activities in rural areas. The research was developed from a mixed sequential approach, starting with the quantitative phase where from a bibliometric analysis under VOSviewer® software that yielded the knowledge, density and overlap maps to identify research trends in management models of projects in the rural sector. The result of the quantitative phase were the variables of the 1.0 agricultural project management model and the database of documents that constituted the input of the qualitative phase. In the qualitative phase, using the content analysis technique, 48 documents related to agricultural projects were analyzed. The variables for the structure of the 2.0 agricultural project management model were defined from three components: social, technical and political. Four key variables: actors, institutional framework, planning and technical processes and three variables specific to agriculture: climate change, environmental sustainability and participation of small producers. The research contributes to academics and empirics by specifying the variables that influence agricultural projects and giving key directions for support in decision-making in project management in the rural sector.
