Abstract

This research analyzes the use of information and communication technologies as a teaching tool for students of the Bachelor of Spanish and English Language of the Faculty of Basic Sciences and Education. CPU. The study variable is defined as information and communication technologies, which is based on Rodríguez and López (2018), Granda, Espinosa and Mayon (2019), Martínez and Martínez (2021), Perea and Almudena (2014), Cabero and Llorente (2007); among  others, supported  by  a  non-experimental, field, transactional  design, with an analytical approach and framed in the positivist paradigm. The population consisted of 35 students taking professional practices in Spanish and English at the UPC and 7 teachers from the area to whom the Likert-type survey validated by experts was applied, yielding a reliability of 0.92 for teachers and 0.90 for students. For the analysis of the data, descriptive statistics were used, the results of which show the need to promote the use of technological tools beyond the construction of knowledge, reducing digital illiteracy in the actors of the process, reinforcing the didactic procedures through digital platforms, in such a way that significant changes are promoted in line with the demands of a globalized world. It is recommended to implement the tools and integrate them into the curricular development of the Bachelor's degree.
