Educational inclusion and diversity: development of social and emotional skills in basic education students
Educational inclusion is a process that seeks to guarantee that all students have the right and opportunity to receive a high-quality education on equal terms, starting from basic education, with special attention to those who are in the most disadvantaged circumstances. The objective of this article is to analyze the importance of educational inclusion and diversity in the development of social and emotional skills in basic education students. For this investigative work, a documentary review was carried out. The results of the reviewed literature propose the implementation of inclusive measures in the classroom, in line with diversity, emerging as afundamental approach to enhance the development of social and emotional skills in basic education students. These conclusions support the continued need to promote inclusive practices in the educational field, focused on enriching the learning experience and cultivating essential skills for the comprehensive well-being of students.
