Impact of technologies: connection with society “asociación humpback whales” Puerto Cayo, Ecuador

The current study of links with society corresponding to the fourth level of the Business Administration Career of the Faculty of Economic Sciences at the representative State University of the South of Manabí, is directly focused on promoting and generating sustainable local development of the economic sectors, social and productive of the association “Humpback Whale Tourist Cabins” of the Puerto Cayo rural parish of the Jipijapa canton, southern area of Manabí, thus describing its main factors of deficit and disadvantages in the market. This research also takes into consideration the main generalities, characteristics, and elements that necessarily make up the important topics to be addressed in this project. Through its application, it will allow the connection with society to be recorded as a fundamental axis in the constant training of future professionals. A mixed methodology was used with methods to obtain qualitative and quantitative data, methods at the theoretical, empirical and mathematical statistical level were also applied. The positive impact of university involvement in the comprehensive training of students was evident, promoting transversal skills such as critical thinking, problem solving and teamwork. Likewise, an increase in the employability and job placement of students who participated in the linking activities has been observed, which highlights the added value that these experiences provide for their professional development.
