Actions of socio-environmental organizations in defense of the Colombian Amazon against mining and energy extractivism in the department of Caquetá

The objective of the research was to describe the actions implemented by different socio-environmental organizations committed to the mitigation of the problems underlying the mining-energy extractivism in the department of Caquetá, Colombian Amazon. For this reason, by means of the hermeneutic phenomenological method and the technique of interviews applied to different actors of the territory, the data was collected and later the information was analyzed in the ATLAS.ti 9 software. Thus, the research evidences the dynamism and commitment of the socio-environmental organizations of Caquetá in their purpose of defending the biodiversity of the Colombian Amazon region threatened by the exploitation of hydrocarbons.
