Right to the internet and education in times of pandemic in the canton la maná
In this work, some of the implications that the Covid-19 pandemic has had on the exercise of the right to education were analyzed. We started from the global context through some indicators on the effects that the pandemic has had on schooling, and from this some consequences were elucidated from the perspective of human rights, state obligations in the matter, and an analysis was carried out of the impact of the pandemic on education. Today the internet is not only an opportunity or a privilege for a few, but it is an obligation and necessity in education for all. The methodology applied was the focus group, which was made up of 4 experts who were brought together virtually, they were asked to evaluate the right to education in rural and central sectors of the La Maná canton, some of the decisions were problematized taken by the Ministry of Education, referring to the speed with which distance education programs were implemented through digital platforms, and which have affected people's training, concluding that the right to education of all students was violated, because internet access was limited by several factors, including the lack of public policy and economic resources, which has led to some students dropping out of their studies.
