Digital transformation as an opportunity for business competitiveness and its sustainable growth. The case of micro, small and medium enterprises (msmes) in Pasto- Nariño - Colombia
The objective of this study was to identify the level of Digital Transformation towards a Digital Economy, of the MSMEs of Pasto, Nariño Colombia, through the use of information and communication technologies (ICT) in their operation processes. In this study, strategies implemented by MSMEs to integrate ICT into their business processes were examined in detail, highlighting success stories, lessons learned and areas for potential improvement. The study was descriptive in nature, in the period from February to June 2023. The results identified key areas for improvement and future action. From promoting digital literacy to fostering strategic alliances. He was able to conclude that in the business environment of Pasto, technological innovation emerges as an architect of success and survival. From the implementation of business management systems to the strategic use of digital marketing platforms; that Pasto MSMEs are exploring a wide range of technological tools to boost their growth and expansion. Several obstacles were found as limitations on the path to digital transformation: resistance to change, lack of adequate training, among others; It is evident that the possession or handling of these tools is not what determines a higher degree of competitiveness, but rather the way in which they are incorporated and used in the business context. Various strategies were explored to catalyze digital transformation and ensure that Pashto MSMEs are prepared to thrive in the 21st century digital economy.
