Clinical and psychological impact generated by post-covid-19 infection in the world population

The new covid-19 disease had short and long term repercussions in the population, of course, being an infectious disease, easily contagious and the lack of knowledge of the degree of its affectation, the impact was from the clinical and psychological point of view. The objective of the research was to demonstrate the clinical and psychological impact generated by post covid-19 infection in the world population. A descriptive systematic review design methodology was applied, searching for scientific articles in Spanish, English and Portuguese during the period 2020 to 2023, published in national and international databases “Google Scholar, PubMed, Scielo, Lilacs, among others, a total of 137 articles were collected for the research. In the results, the clinical impact, manifestations such as fatigue, dyspnea, cough, headache, loss of taste and smell, peripheral neuropathy, tachycardia, pericardial effusion, among others. Regarding the psychological impact, anxiety disorders, depression, stress and insomnia. It can be concluded that the post covid-19 disease did have an impact on the population from different aspects and despite the time elapsed these conditions may be latent, being convenient to carry out studies for the follow-up of the disease in the different age groups.
