Genially and educaplay for reading reinforcement
Reading is an essential skill in the educational process, so the research aims to evaluate the impact of the use of interactive tools (Genially and Educaplay) in strengthening reading skills in elementary school students. A quasi-experimental design was applied with an experimental group and a control group, using a conglomerate of reading comprehension scores and surveys to collect data before and after the intervention. The results after the intervention, the CG only achieved a mean of 7.56 on the Post-Test, with no significant improvement, while the GC achieved a mean of 8.45, indicating a notable increase in their performance. Also, the surveys show a significant increase in interest in reading (53.6% strongly agree) and confidence in reading skills (46.4% strongly agree) of the SG compared to the CG. In addition, 50% of the SGs stated that the interactive activities had a positive impact on their learning. The results suggest that the application of Genially and Educaplay not only fosters more motivating and adaptive learning, but also reinforces students' reading skills, thus the need to integrate digital resources into the educational environment.
