“The strategic role of financial innovation in competitive smes”
Financial innovation has emerged as a key factor in improving the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). This qualitative study examines how innovative financial strategies can transform opportunities for SMEs, especially in emerging markets such as Colombia. Through interviews with local business executives in Cartagena, key innovation practices in the financial sector were identified that have a direct impact on their performance and sustainability of small and medium-sized enterprises. The results show that the implementation of financial technologies, such as the use of financial technology and the digitalization of financial services, has improved business competitiveness, facilitated access to resources, and optimized operational processes.
