Literature review on zoning methods and risk assessment for land risks in pallatanga, ecuador (scale 1:50,000)
The objective of this article is to conduct a complete bibliographic review on methods for assessing and zoning the risks of landslides in Pallatanga, Ecuador, at a scale of 1:50,000, considering relevant theoretical aspects. The methodology used is descriptive, using documentary observation as the main method. For the collection of secondary information, scientific articles, theses and databases have been considered. It is concluded that for an effective management of the risk of landslides in the Pallatanga canton, it is essential to integrate the understanding of the environmental units, physiography, and photogeological characteristics, together with the zoning of the threat and vulnerability, which allows to evaluate and reduce the susceptibility to these events in a precise manner.
