Influence of knowledge in financial management on the professional profile and organizational competitiveness: empirical evidence in distance learning students of the University of the Amazon
This study analyzes the influence of financial management knowledge on the development of professional profiles and its impact on organizational competitiveness among distance education students and graduates at the Universidad de la Amazonia. A quantitative approach with a descriptive-correlational design was adopted, based on a structured questionnaire applied to 200 participants. The results show significant relationships between financial knowledge and thedevelopment of professional competencies such as financial analysis, decision-making, and resource management, evidenced through positive correlations (r = 0.682; p < .001) and a regression model with moderate explanatory power (R² = 0.56). Additionally, a positive association was identified between these competencies and perceived contributions to organizational competitiveness. However, limitations were found in the strategic application of knowledge in real contexts. It is concluded that financial education plays a key role in professional development, although its impact on competitiveness depends on the integration of academic training, work experience, and organizational context.
