Data, traces, and subjetivities under technological surveillance

The educational and social landscape has been permeated by rapid technological transformations, bringing individuals closer to invasive flows of information that have given rise to processes of technological surveillance. Beyond simply monitoring human action, this surveillance recreates new identities and subjectivities. Therefore, this article aims to analyze the relationship between the contemporary individual and technological surveillance through a hermeneutic approach that integrates a reflective theoretical analysis with a qualitative perspective. This approach questions, analyzes, and interprets how data recreates digital traces that permeate the autonomy and interests of individuals. The most significant findings indicate that social networks, artificial intelligence, and big data configure the new digital panopticon where, through algorithmic correlations, the autonomy and self-reflection of individuals fade away.
