Theoretical framework required to measure the impact of the "youth building the future" program in Mexico

This paper offers a theoretical framework for the arguments that support the need for research—in the context of Puebla, Mexico—to measure and analyze the impact of the “Jóvenes Construyendo el Futuro” (JCF) program in terms of training, employability, the reduction of inequalities, and the promotion of corporate social responsibility among both urban and rural youth. The results presented here are part of an exploratory study; consequently, at the methodological level, document analysis, content analysis, synthesis, and generalization have played a central role. From the above, an essentially theoretical conclusion emerges regarding: youth issues in Mexico, the objectives of the JCF program, its strategic pillars and challenges, and its impact on businesses and the economy. These findings aim to establish the preliminary theoretical framework for a broader study that, while unique, seeks to measure how integrated work-study programs in Mexico impact the quality of life of young people, hence the search for background information that will help answer the scientific question: How does the “Youth Building the Future” (JCF) program impact the quality of life of participants and social enterprises in Puebla?
